Zusammenfassung

Der über Jahrzehnte vorherrschende Nihilismus in der Akuttherapie des ischämischen Insults ist in den vergangenen Jahren verschiedenen differenzierten Therapieoptionen gewichen, die im Wesentlichen auf die beschleunigte Reperfusion zielen. Viel versprechend sind die ersten Daten mit Glykoprotein (GP) Ilb/Illa-Rezeptorantagonisten; zukünftige Perspektiven wären Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der Ischämietoleranz des Gehirns.
