Bucherer-Bergs reaction

The formation of hydantoin from carbonyl compound with potassium cyanide (KCN) and ammonium carbonate [(NH4)2CO3] or from cyanohydrin and ammonium carbonate. It belongs to the category of multiple component reaction (MCR).
