Web Intelligence (WI): A New Paradigm for Developing the Wisdom Web and Social Network Intelligence

  • Chapter
Web Intelligence

Abstract

This chapter introduces Web Intelligence (WI) as a new paradigm for developing the Wisdom Web and Web-supported social network intelligence. We argue that developing the Wisdom Web is an important goal of WI research. WI research is discussed from two perspectives: (1) the conceptual levels of WI and (2) an intelligent Web-based business centric schematic diagram. An overview of this first book devoted to WI shows that this coherently written multi-author monograph presents the current state of the research and development in various areas of WI, as well as both theoretical and application aspects of WI and Web-based intelligent information systems/environments.
