Abstract

The discussion was opened by the first multiple choice question asking the audience the same questions that Van de Wiele asked Belgian neurologists in order to compare and discuss the differences in answers. The first question was why the WBC scan is not routinely used in distinguishing brain abscesses and other brain lesions. The large majority of the attendants (80%) replied that these techniques are highly sensitive and specific but are unknown to most clinicians.
