Abstract

B2B integration is very complex, as this book clearly shows. In addition, no commonly accepted set of integration concepts has been developed so far, and no standard architecture is accepted throughout the industrial or research community, either. For example, an area where both are available is relational database management systems. In this particular field the relational model as well as a standard architecture are both accepted by the industry and research community.
