Abstract
To evaluate the potential of cost reduction and its possible realization for industrial photovoltaic production, the following questions have to be answered:
-
What is the possible speed of technological progress concerning production cost and what conditions are required?
-
What is the possible rate of technology transfer to manufacturing?
-
What is the speed of market development in relation to investment cycles in fabrication?
-
How do the answers finally fit into a strategic scheme?
-
What are the social and political boundary conditions for this process?
-
What are the cost (public od private) to accelerate this process?
and after all, if there are useful answers to all these questions,
-
How do the answers finally fit into a strategic scheme?
-
What are the social and political boundary conditions for this process?
-
What are the cost (public od private) to accelerate this process?
