Updating and Extending National Models

  • Andrew Daly
Part of the Advances in Spatial Science book series (ADVSPATIAL)

The objective of this paper is to discuss the possibilities available for updating and extending the life and capability of national travel demand models. It is based on the experience of the author and of Hague Consulting Group (HCG) in several countries but most particularly in The Netherlands. A final section focuses specifically on the current major project to update and improve the Netherlands National Model (referred to subsequently as NMS).
