Abstract

This study describes the current status of projects and calculations carried out in Venezuela by IGVSB and LGFS to determine the Venezuelan geoid. These projects include the development of a digital terrain model, processing gravimetric observations, executing and processing GPS measurements. The study presents the first version of a gravimetric geoid for the whole of Venezuela, comparing it with global models and punctual undulations from GPS/levelling.
