Abstract
Today, more than ever, it is necessary that clocks (or more specifically, both systems that require the date and time or those that merely display the same), as well as displaying the exact date and time, should be as simple to operate as possible. Manual adjustments are time-consuming and are often not carried out. This is where an automatic system to change the time is required. In addition, the system should be able to automatically handle the twice-yearly change from Summer to Winter time, and back again, unnoticed by the user.
