Abstract
As we saw in the previous chapters, there is a major need for convenient navigation aids that help users to take advantage of network-based, distributed information, regardless of their computer literacy. Starting from an environmental query or problem formulation, such navigation aids should help users to localize the relevant data sets and to retrieve them quickly and in a user-friendly manner.
