Summary
The successful manufacturing operation must focus outside of the walls of the manufacturing facility to accommodate a global supply chain, disaggregation of enterprise production resources, and customer focused product distribution. I presentsome examples of current and anticipated methods of operation and discuss the use evolutionary computing to enable their implementation.
