Abstract
The main goal of this workshop is not so much to present the latest scientific results but to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of computational chemistry in supporting research in pharmaceutical industry. I hope that we will come to the conclusion at the end of the workshop that computer-aided drug design is a necessary and important subdiscipline of chemistry and can generate many helpful ideas and insights in the field of structure—activity relationships.
