Linear Deformation Behaviour of High Polymers

Chapter
Part of the Die Physik der Hochpolymeren book series (HP, volume 4)

Abstract

A study of the physics of high polymers would be incomplete without a thorough treatment of the “mechanical behaviour” of these substances. This is not only because mechanics is one chapter of general physics, but particularly because the immense development of practical applications of high polymers is due to a large extent to their mechanical properties.
