Impact of Climatic Change on Agriculture from the Viewpoint of East Asia

  • Conference paper
The Global Environment

Abstract

The planning of climatic impact studies after the first World Climate Conference in 1979 and the recent development of the World Climate Impact Studies Program (WCIP) have been described by Dooge (1990). As he pointed out, the effects of climate change on individual sectors of human activity and society have been the main subjects of study. The present paper reviews the results of studies related to climatic impact of global change. In particular, focus is given to studies relating to East Asia.
