Zusammenfassung
Muskelzellen können — wie Neurone — chemisch, elektrisch und mechanisch in Erregung versetzt werden; dabei entsteht ein Aktions-potential, das sich entlang der Zellmembran fortpflanzt. Vom Neuron unterscheidet sie jedoch der muskuläre Kontraktionsmechanismus, der durch das Aktionspotential aktiviert wird.
