Zusammenfassung

Unter allogener Transplantation von Organen und Geweben versteht man eine Verpflanzung innerhalb einer Species. Liegt der Sonderfall vor, daß Spender und Empfänger genetisch identisch sind, so handelt es sich um eine Isotransplantation. Bei der xenogenen Transplantation dagegen gehören Spender und Empfänger verschiedenen Species an. Als Synonyma wurden verwendet Allo- und Homoiotransplantation sowie Xeno- und Heterotransplantation. Diese Einteilung weist auf die immunogenetische Grundlage der Transplantatabstoßung hin.
