Numerical Investigation of Wake Instabilities

  • Conference paper

Summary

The application of non-parallel flow stability analysis to the wake problem is shown. Stream function, curvilinear FDM formulation and solution of the eigenvalue problem is described in details. The results consist of critical values, determined for the circular cylinder flow and the attempt to analyze the wake instability mechanism.
