Zusammenfassung

Unter einer Kultur versteht man den Vorgang der Vermehrung von Organismen durch Schaffung der für diese Vermehrung geeigneten Milieubedingungen: Nährstoffe, pH, Temperatur, Belüftung. Andere Faktoren, die beachtet werden müssen, sind Salzkonzentration, osmotischer Druck im Medium und in manchen Fällen spezielle Vorkehrungen wie z. B. Licht für die zur Photosynthese befähigten Organismen.
