Abstract

Fluorescein, resorufin, and rhodamine derivatives are three important fluorescence labels which can be used for labeling of biomolecules. Although there are many more fluorescence labels, which differ in excitation/emission wavelengths, e.g., coumarins, this chapter concentrates mainly on the most popular labels because of their widespread application.
