Abstract

Space is an everyday and occasionally controversial term; everyday because of the many different meanings, controversial (at least among some experts) because of the ideological references of some of these meanings. Over the last approximately 200 years, a broad field of concepts has emerged, not coincidentally as a byproduct of modernity.
