Abstract

My concern in this book is to explain that super weak relationships play a large role in our lives. Relationships, which are barely recognizable to most as such, influence us every day in a very significant way. Another, and related point, is that our society—all of us together—is also shaped by such super weak relationships. There is no culture recognizable in any way without this type of relationship. We could hardly talk about a culture if there was not this mechanism of mutual orientation and learning from each other.
