Zusammenfassung
Globalisierung hat direkte und indirekte Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit von Bevölkerungen weltweit. Untersucht man diese aus einer Public-Health-Perspektive, so spricht man von „Global Health“ und fasst darunter diejenigen Determinanten von Gesundheit sowie Maßnahmen zu ihrer Sicherstellung, die Ländergrenzen und Verantwortungsbereiche von Nationalstaaten überschreiten. Wir geben einen kurzen Überblick über Gesundheit, gesundheitliche Ungleichheiten und daraus resultierende Herausforderungen in einer zunehmend globalisierten Welt.
