Zusammenfassung

Der tiefgreifende Wandel der Altersstruktur der Bevölkerung in Deutschland hat vielfältige Auswirkungen, die in individuellen Lebenswelten wie auch gesellschaftlich schon heute spürbar sind. Zu den Bereichen, die als Herausforderung begriffen und diskutiert werden, gehören die Auswirkungen des Altersstrukturwandels auf das Gesundheitsgeschehen und die Krankheitsentwicklung sowie die zukünftige Gestaltung der Versorgung mit medizinischen und pflegerischen Leistungen.
