Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel werden Sie in die Bedeutung eines systematischen, strukturierten, plan- und zielgerichteten Finanzmanagements in Non-Profit-Organisationen eingeführt. Ausgegangen wird von einer systematischen Unterschätzung des Finanzmanagements in Non-Profit-Organisationen. In Zeiten stagnierender Spenden und staatlicher Kosteneinsparungen gewinnen die Planung und zukünftige Sicherstellung von finanziellen Ressourcen entscheidend an Bedeutung. Spezifisches Finanzmanagement wird daher für eine wirksame Zweckerfüllung und den nachhaltigen Bestand von Non-Profit-Organisationen unerlässlich.

    Meines Wissens gibt es vier Dissertationen zum Thema (Beccarelli, 2005; Vilain, 2006; Neubert, 2007; Stühlinger, 2020) und eine Reihe von Kapitelbeiträgen in Handbüchern oder Lehrbüchern (z. B. Littich, 2007; Grünhaus & Lutschinger, 2022; Helmig & Boenigk, 2019). In der englischsprachigen Literatur sieht das selbstverständlich anders aus (Zietlow et al., 2018; Finkler et al., 2017; Coe, 2011; McLaughlin, 2016).

    Diese Definition nach Schweizer Recht erschien mir an dieser Stelle einfacher und eingängiger als die wesentlich komplexeren, weil differenzierteren Definitionen nach deutschem und österreichischem Recht.
