Zusammenfassung
Die Verbreitung von Smartphone Apps und die Verfügbarkeit zahlreicher Technologien wie Bluetooth, WLAN, RFID oder VLC erlauben Einzelhändlern immer mehr digitale Erweiterungen zur Verbesserung des stationären Einkaufserlebnisses. Gerade bei großflächigen Betriebstypen mit hoher Produktanzahl, etwa Kauf- und Warenhäusern, können App-basierte Orientierungshilfen (ABOHs) wie eine In-Store-Navigation Kundinnen und Kunden helfen, Produkte schneller zu finden. Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht dieses Kapitel die Fragen, inwiefern die Schwierigkeit beim Auffinden von Produkten und die In-Store-Nutzung von Apps auf die Bereitschaft wirken, eine ABOH zu nutzen und wie diese Bereitschaft die App-Nutzung beeinflusst. Ein Strukturgleichungsmodell auf Basis einer Umfrage unter 1828 Nutzerinnen und Nutzern der App eines Einzelhändlers zeigt, dass die Bereitschaft zur ABOH-Nutzung wesentlich durch Schwierigkeiten bei der Suche nach Produkten beeinflusst wird und ABOHs die App-Nutzung positiv beeinflussen können.
