Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff Compliance ist schnell aus dem Englischen abgeleitet. Dort bedeutet „to comply“ so viel wie „entsprechen“ oder „befolgen“, aber auch „einhalten von Regeln oder Auflagen“. Das Substantiv „compliance“ wird deshalb meistens und sinnvoll mit „Regeleinhaltung“ oder „Regeltreue“, aber auch „Regelkonformität“ übersetzt. Das Verständnis von Compliance im anglo-amerikanischen und von Regeleinhaltung im deutschen Sprachraum ist identisch.
