Zusammenfassung

Der folgende Beitrag ordnet die aktuellen Manifestationen des Rechtsterrorismus in den theoretischen und historischen Rahmen der Theorie der vier Wellen des Terrorismus von David Rapoport ein. Es stellt sich im nächsten Schritt die Frage, ob eine Eskalation rechten Terrors in einer eigenständigen transnationalen Welle zu erwarten ist oder sich bereits manifestiert hat. Die quantitative wie qualitative Analyse, die einen besonderen Fokus auf den Anschlag von Halle 2019 legt, bestätigt die grundsätzliche Plausibilität dieser Annahme.
