Abstract
Chapter three will briefly cover legal definitions and requirements for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and interesting statistics comparing Austria and the EU. Subchapter 3.1 will cover information about Austria’s economic landscape of different SMEs and will illustrate two special forms withing SMEs: one-person businesses (section 3.1.1) and hybrid entrepreneurs (section 3.1.2) before subchapter 3.2 will shed light on female entrepreneurs in Carinthia, Austria’s most south federal state.
