Polizeiliche Gefahren- und Kampfnarrative: (Dys-)Funktionen in der Perspektive der Terror-Management-Theorie

Zusammenfassung

Innerhalb der Polizei existieren reflexionswürdige organisationskulturelle Wissensbestände, die über zwei miteinander verbundene Narrative transportiert werden. Das polizeiliche Gefahrennarrativ beschreibt eine immerwährende und ansteigende Gefahr für Polizistys, wohingegen das Kampfnarrativ polizeiliche Arbeit primär als Kampf gegen das Böse konzeptualisiert. Unter der Perspektive der Terror- Management-Theorie sind beide Narrative geeignet, die Gedanken an die eigene individuelle Sterblichkeit zu aktualisieren und verschiedene Abwehrmechanismen zu fördern. Die Abwehrmechanismen produzieren wiederum gesellschaftlich dysfunktionale Verhaltensweisen von Polizistys, die individuell als funktional betrachtet werden können.

    Wir entgendern in unserem Beitrag nach Phettberg (Kronschläger, 2022; Staller et al., 2022).

    Im Rahmen des Studenty-Projektes interviewten die Studentys sich gegenseitig zu ihren Erfahrungen mit polizeilichen Narrativen. Die Interviews wurden aufgezeichnet, transkribiert und in Seminararbeiten verwertet.

    Hier wollen wir lediglich erwähnen, dass die im Dienst von Gewalthandlungen getöteten Polizistys seit 50 Jahren rückgängig sind. Die Darstellung von Angriffshandlungen in der Polizeilichen Kriminalstatistik ist wiederum selbst eine Wirklichkeitskonstruktion von Polizistys (Derin & Singelnstein, 2019), welche vom Gefahrennarrativ und weiteern Faktoren (z. B. Anzeige einer Widerstandshandlung nach Polizeigewalt) nicht unbeeinflusst sein dürfte. An dieser Stelle übergeben wir den Staffelstab an die Kriminologie, die in der Auseinandersetzung mit der Thematik hoffentlich einiges an neuen Erkenntnissen produzieren wird.

    An dieser Stelle möchten wir (MS/SK) anmerken, dass auch in unseren Forschungen im Bereich des Einsatztrainings regelmäßig erst für voll genommen werden, wenn wir über ein praktisches Einsatztraining auch gezeigt haben, dass wir selbst kämpfen können. Der Kampf – und die eigene Kampfkompetenz – fungiert als Türöffner für argumentative Positionen.

    Wir erhielten für unsere Tätigkeit zur Professionalisierung der Trainings- und Ausbildungsstrukturen einer polizeilichen Einheit als Anerkennung eine bereits gezündete Blendgranate. Während der Erstautor (MS) aufgrund der eigenen Erstsozialisation im Polizeisystem mit dieser Geste etwas anzufangen wusste, war der Zweitautor (SK) sehr irritiert von dieser Geste. Entsprechend steht das „Geschenk“ heute im Büro des Erstautors.
