Zusammenfassung
Nach Wrangham (2018) unterscheidet man zwischen proaktiver und reaktiver Aggression. Die proaktive Aggression wurde von Paläontologen an Spuren unserer Vorfahren untersucht. Sie galt schon immer als die gefährlichere der beiden Aggressionsformen. Auch heute sind die Reaktionen auf Angriffe psychologisch besonders heftig. Gewalttätige Handlungen werden beim Menschen eher toleriert, wenn sie der eigenen Verteidigung dienen. Proaktive Aggression hat psychologische Barrieren zu überwinden. Sie wird deshalb gern vor dem Angriff als reaktiv dargestellt. Soziale Diskriminierung kann proaktive Aggression vorbereiten. Feindschaft zeigt sich laut zoologischer und anthropologischer Forschung bei Tieren und Menschen auf unterschiedliche Weise. Dies ist besonders deutlich bei der Gewaltausübung innerhalb von Gruppen. Persönliche Ablehnung führt beim Menschen zu feindlichen Haltungen. Ideologien dienen dazu, Erbitterung, Zorn und Rachegefühle aufrechtzuerhalten und in Handlungen zu überführen. Das bekommen „Abgefallene“ aus der eigenen Gruppe deutlich zu spüren. Eine besondere Form der Aggression nach außen ist der menschenfeindliche Altruismus. Er ist moralisch getränkt.
