Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag konzentriert sich auf die Omni-Channel Logistics. Es handelt sich dabei um ein Konzept für Unternehmen, um die Logistik auf mehrere Vertriebskanäle auszurichten. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf stationären Händlern, die zusätzlich weitere digitalisierte Vertriebskanäle hinzunehmen. Zunächst werden dazu die Grundlagen des Mehrkanalhandels erläutert, um dann auf die Ansätze der Omni-Channel Logistics einzugehen. Es werden Möglichkeiten für die Distribution und das Fulfillment dargestellt. Die beiden Bereiche umfassen beispielsweise Vorwärts- und Rückwärtsdistribution, Kommissionierung, Sortiment sowie Informationstechnologie und Organisation. Der Schwerpunkt des Beitrags liegt auf einer Fallstudienbetrachtung, in der konkrete Herausforderungen und Optimierungsmöglichkeiten erarbeitet wurden. Die Ergebnisse lassen sich auch auf weitere Unternehmen übertragen, die sich in der Entwicklung zum Omni-Channel Retailer befinden.
