Abstract

In the textbooks of psychology presented, a little is said about the predecessors of modern psychology, but it is not understood that the respective psychology is culture-dependent, configured by the respective age. With the respective psychology, a respective culture communicates about itself. Modern psychology takes over the legacy of great philosophers like Descartes or Kant, who have created the great soul of modernity. That this soul can be massively overwhelming is ignored in this process.
