Abstract
Digital technology is disrupting the established structures in the marketplace at a fast pace. Consequently, the prerequisites of most industries and firms are fundamentally changing. For firms in the service industry, it has become essential to incorporate digital technology into their business strategy and also to determine which backend processes, service offerings, and customer interactions should be enhanced by technology.
