Zusammenfassung

Eine Blockchain ist eine spezielle Form eines Distributed Ledger Systems (DLT), die alle Methoden für eine über mehrere Server verteilte dezentrale Aufzeichnung von Transaktionsdaten umfasst. Es gibt andere Formen von DLTs, die sich beispielsweise in den Verschlüsselungs- und Validierungsmechanismen oder der Transaktionsgeschwindigkeit unterscheiden. Hier sind vor allem Tangle und Hashgraph zu nennen, auf die nachfolgend jedoch nicht weiter eingegangen wird.
