Abstract

The work presented in this thesis is primarily motivated by the rich body of work developed in the last 20 years on the topic of universal relations that relate properties of neutron stars in an EoS independent manner. In the following, we outline some of these works involving the oscillations modes and tidal deformability of single neutron stars, before we tackle more recently proposed relations for binary neutron star mergers.
