Zusammenfassung

Dieser Beitrag behandelt die Fragestellung, wie Führungskräfte Organisationen, Mitarbeitende, Partner und sich selbst wirksam über internationale und interkulturelle Distanz hinweg führen können. Die Kompetenz zur internationalen Führung ist angesichts der stets und stark voranschreitenden Internationalisierung von Wertschöpfungsprozessen und der darin enthaltenen Opportunitäten von grosser Relevanz. Gleichzeitig sind die Herausforderungen internationaler Führungsarbeit gross, angesichts der cross-kontextualen Verschiedenheit von Selbstverständnissen, worin konstruktive, effiziente, belastbare und von Vertrauen geprägte Führungsbeziehungen bestehen und wie diese hergestellt werden können. Die Herausbildung adäquater Verhaltensweisen für die internationale Führungsarbeit ist deshalb besonders wichtig und vielversprechend. Dieser Beitrag bietet entsprechende Handreichungen in Form von Gestaltungsempfehlungen an. Diese Empfehlungen sind aus der aktuellen Forschungsliteratur abgeleitet und auf die Praxis ausgerichtet.
