The Holistic AGVS Planning

  • Chapter
  • First Online:
Automated Guided Vehicle Systems

Abstract

First of all, it must be clear that the adjective holistic is used here deliberately and dialectically correctly. AGV planning is to be presented comprehensively here—as in VDI Guideline 2710, which will be cited several times; in other words, all steps of planning are to be addressed, beginning with the first preliminary considerations and ending with the decommissioning of the old plant. Obviously, we will limit ourselves here to the AGV aspects—there are plenty of general presentations on the subject of project management.
