Wirtschaftseliten in Ecuador und Venezuela: Theorie und Periodisierung der Beziehung von Eliten und Staat

Zusammenfassung

Die Elitenforschung hat in Lateinamerika in jüngster Zeit wieder vermehrt an Aufmerksamkeit erfahren. Der Beitrag führt in die Geschichte des Forschungsfeldes ein und analysiert die Genese der herrschenden Eliten in Ecuador und Venezuela. Im Anschluss analysiert er vergleichend die Veränderungen bezüglich der herrschenden Klassenfraktionen in den beiden Ländern unter den Regierungen Rafael Correas und Hugo Chávez. Der Vergleich offenbart nicht nur die unterschiedlichen Organisationsformen der Eliten, sondern wirft auch weiterführende Fragen in Bezug auf staatliche Handlungsspielräume auf.
