Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag bietet eine prägnante Einführung in die grundlegende Materie des Völkerrechts unter Berücksichtigung aktueller Fragestellungen. Dabei wird auf die geschichtlichen und dogmatischen Wurzeln eingegangen, und es werden die Rechtsquellen sowie die zentralen Akteure des Völkerrechts dargestellt. Wesentliche Regelungsbereiche des Völkerrechts werden exemplarisch aufgegriffen und überblicksartig vorgestellt. Vertieft dargestellt wird das Prinzip der Schutzverantwortung (Responsibility to Protect), das Völkerrecht im Cyberspace und der im Kampf gegen den internationalen Terrorismus anwendbare völkerrechtliche Regelungsrahmen.
