Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag skizziert die Relevanz der politischen Philosophie für die Disziplin der Internationalen Beziehungen. Dazu werden einige Grundlagen einer solchen Philosophie für Phänomene jenseits staatlicher verfasster Gemeinwesen bestimmt sowie einige wesentliche Stationen und Traditionen der Ideengeschichte des Nachdenkens über internationale Zusammenhänge benannt. Das Fazit diskutiert das Potenzial und die Herausforderungen der politischen Philosophie als Ressource zum besseren Verständnis von internationalen, transnationalen und globalen Problemen.
