Die sog. österreichische oder auch Wiener Nationalökonomie ist eine der drei Gründungskonzeptionen der Grenznutzentheorie. Carl Menger, der als ihr Begründer gilt, entwickelte seine Konzeption zeitgleich mit den grundlegenden Werken von William Stanley Jevons und Leon Walras.
