Abstract
This chapter examines socio-economic differences in student employment and their underlying mechanisms. The goal is to provide a better understanding of the selection into student employment by studying how different factors are related to different aspects of student work and how these factors contribute to differences in work amount and work quality between students of different social backgrounds. Section 6.1 describes the analytical strategy—the variables to be used and the methods to be applied.
