Abstract

The first two steps of the analysis are carried out with data from the “Starting Cohort First-Year Students” survey of the National Educational Panel for Germany (NEPS). The survey follows a cohort of higher education entrants throughout their studies. It provides rich information on students’ characteristics, their academic performance, their progress throughout higher education, and their employment during the studies.
