Abstract

Many students combine studies with gainful employment (Eurostudent 2018). This is particularly the case in Germany, where the majority of undergraduates work (Middendorff et al. 2017). More than 80 percent of these students have at least one job in the course of their Bachelor’s studies. On average, working Bachelor’s students spend around 1,140 hours on work, an amount which corresponds to almost 20 percent of the prescribed study time.
