Der HLCA-Forschungsverbund 2015–2021

Health Literacy im Kindes- und Jugendalter als Ziel von Gesundheitsförderung und Primärprävention

Zusammenfassung

Gesundheitskompetenz hat sich in den letzten drei Jahrzehnten zu einem wichtigen Forschungsgegenstand entwickelt, jedoch galt die Gesundheitskompetenz von Kindern und Jugendlichen lange Zeit als marginalisiert. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat der interdisziplinäre Forschungsverbund „Health Literacy in Childhood and Adolescence (HLCA)“ im Jahr 2015 die Erforschung des Themas bei Kindern und Jugendlichen aufgenommen und wird dabei durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) gefördert. Das Ziel dieses Beitrags ist die Vorstellung des HLCA-Verbundes und dessen zwei Förderphasen: Von 2015 bis 2018 mit zehn und von 2018 bis 2021 mit neun Teilprojekten. Der Beitrag führt zunächst in das Forschungsprogramm des HLCA-Verbundes in der ersten Förderphase ein, beschreibt dessen Verbundstruktur und stellt die beteiligten Forschungseinrichtungen sowie die zentralen Ergebnisse vor. Basierend auf den Ergebnissen der ersten Förderphase wurden das Rahmenforschungsprogramm für die neun Nachfolgeprojekte der zweiten Förderphase entwickelt. Der Beitrag vermittelt diesbezüglich einen Überblick zum Forschungsverbund und den Teilprojekten der zweiten HLCA-Förderphase und schließt mit einem Ausblick auf die weiteren Arbeitsprozesse und Implikationen für die Gesundheitsförderung und Prävention im Zusammenhang mit der Erforschung und Umsetzung von Maßnahmen zur Stärkung der Gesundheitskompetenz im Kindes- und Jugendalter.
