Bindung, Partnerzufriedenheit und Kultur

Zusammenfassung

In diesem Beitrag gehen wir von der Bindungstheorie von Bowlby (1969/1982) aus. In diesem Zusammenhang gehen wir auf die Frage ein, wie Bindung gemessen wird. Wir führen einen Kulturvergleich der Messung von Bindungsstilen und Bindungsdimensionen zwischen den USA und Deutschland durch. Im Weiteren beantworten wir die Frage, ob individuelle Unterschiede in der Befolgung bestimmter Bindungsstile bzw. in der Betonung unterschiedlicher Bindungsdimensionen mit Partnerzufriedenheit zusammenhängt und ob sich kulturelle Unterschiede erkennen lassen, die diesen Zusammenhang modifizieren.

    Neben dem Original-ECR steht eine revidierte Fassung des ECR (ECR-R) zur Verfügung, die sich aber als weniger empfehlenswert als der Original-ECR erweist. Außerdem gilt, dass die Ergebnisse des ECR-R mit denen des ECR nahezu identisch sind (Mikulincer und Shaver 2007).

    Es ist nicht ganz klar, ob der ECR oder eine Revision des ECR (= ECR-R) verwendet wurde. Da aber auf die Literaturquelle verwiesen wird, die die Entwicklung des ECR beinhaltet (Brennan et al. 1998), kann davon ausgegangen werden, dass der ECR eingesetzt wurde.
