Abstract

Strategic Communication in NGOs is a very recent field of study that was hidden behind the need to understand the differences of those organizational forms (RQ) in order to go further: from ontogenesis to strategic communication and to communication management thereafter. These paths have made it possible to outline the Instigatory Theory of NGO Communication (ITNC), which has its empirical grounding in a quantitative study on human rights INGOs and on interviews with elite actors among INGO communication professionals in a qualitative study.
