Zusammenfassung
E-Health ist eine der Schlüsseltrends der Pharmabranche. Dieser Trend hat sich durch die zunehmende Bedeutung der Digitalisierung verstärkt. Die Digitalisierung wird dabei im Wesentlichen durch eine betriebswirtschaftliche und eine technologische Dimension getrieben. Deshalb ist es das Ziel des Beitrags, anhand verschiedener technologischen Treiber die für Pharmaunternehmen relevantesten wirtschaftlichen Potenziale und Trends der Digitalisierung aufzuzeigen. Dafür wurden sieben Schlüsseltechnologien identifiziert: Big Data, Analytics und künstliche Intelligenz, Cloud Computing, Blockchain, 3D-Druck, Internet of Things, Wearables und mobile Computersysteme sowie Virtual und Augmented Reality. Diese Technologien werden zu teilweise umfangreichen Veränderungen in der Forschung und Entwicklung, Produktion, Supply Chain und patientenorientierten individuellen Versorgung führen. Big Data, Analytics und künstliche Intelligenz haben dabei das Potenzial, die Forschung und Entwicklungsfunktion von Pharmaunternehmen grundlegend zu verändern. Neben der Forschung und Entwicklung wird Cloud Computing die patientenorientierte Versorgung grundlegend transformieren. Die hohe Transparenz und Sicherheit machen die Blockchain zu einer idealen Technologie für die Forschung und Entwicklung sowie für den Einsatz in der Supply Chain. Der pharmazeutischen Supply Chain droht dank Produktion mittels 3D-Druck disruptiv revolutioniert zu werden. Darüber hinaus wird das Internet of Things die Überwachung der Produktion und Supply Chain sowie die patientenorientierte Versorgung verbessern. Mithilfe des Einsatzes von Gamification und Sensorik bieten Wearables und andere mobile Computersysteme in der patientenorientierten Versorgung und der Forschung und Entwicklung unzählige Möglichkeiten. Schlussendlich können sich durch Augmented und Virtual Reality einige Potenziale in der patientenorientierten Versorgung eröffnen.
