Zusammenfassung
Digitalisierung ist einerseits ein Modewort unserer Zeit, andererseits die am schnellsten voranschreitende spürbare gesellschaftliche Veränderung in unserem täglichen Leben. Wie können pharmazeutische Hersteller diesen Megatrend nutzen? Müssen sie ihn nutzen um ihrer selbst willen? Welcher Nutzen entsteht für die Patienten? Ist das klassische Geschäftsmodell der Pharmabranche hinfällig? Welche Möglichkeiten hat ein Pharmaunternehmen überhaupt, die Digitalisierung gewinnbringend, sinnstiftend und patientenzentriert einzusetzen? Nicht zu vergessen: Welche Rolle spielt bei all diesen Fragen die Unternehmenskultur? Der Beitrag erläutert anhand vieler Beispiele, dass sich eine traditionelle Branche in einem Paradigmenwechsel befindet, bei dem der Patient als „Gewinner“ hervorgehen wird. Gleichzeitig beschreibt er die Risiken der Digitalisierung sowie die Notwendigkeit einer kulturellen Identität in einer äußerst schnelllebigen Zeit.
