Abstract

Subchapter 3.1 describes how the relevant literature for conceptualizing the five MEXC capabilities with the help of objective indicants was identified. Moreover, descriptive statistics of the resulting literature database are shown to both convey an impression of the comprehensiveness and richness of the basis for the analysis and to allow for intriguing insights concerning the origins and characteristics of the utilized studies. Subsequently, subchapter 3.2 describes the conceptualization process of the indicants and sheds light on the requirements respectively the evaluation criteria for the developed indicants.
